East China's Zhejiang provincial health watchdog has reported a new case of the Zika viru--the 4th person to be diagnosed in the province.

The patient is a 42-year-old woman who had worked in South America, where she was bitten by mosquitods. Since being admitted to hospital, her condition has significantly improved. This case brings the total number of Zika patients to six in China.

The country has stepped up screening for the virus at all of its borders as the weather begins to warm up, and the risk of infection increases.

Another international flight had arrived. Passengers pour out of the plane. But before they leave the airport they must undergo checks for the Zika virus. People arriving from epidemic areas need to do it twice.

Body temperature detectors first screen the passengers arriving on international flights. Anyone whose body temperature is over 37 degrees Celcius is taken to a simple testing center next to the border control for further examination.

"We measure these passengers' body temperature again. If someone's temperature really is 37.3 degrees Celcius and above, and they have been to an epidemic area or have been in contact with someone with Zika, we take blood and urine samples for initial tests. A positive sample will be sent to a professional institution for final //confirm/i/iation," said Di Mingzhi, physician of Beijing Entry-Exit Inspection & Quarantine Bureau.

China has now confirmed six imported Zika cases. Warmer weather could help spread the virus. So Beijing International Airport therefore has intensified its inspections.

"We have launched several major measures to tackle the spread of the Zika virus, including double-checking passengers from epidemic areas, publishing brochures in six languages and having mosquito eradication on aircraft," said Wang Zheng, deputy chief of Beijing Airport Inspection & Quarantine Bureau.

"We have stepped up efforts to eliminate the possible breeding environment of mosquitoes in the airport by cleaning and disinfecting passenger boarding bridges, flower beds and corridors. We are also closely monitoring mosquitoes and other insects here to make sure the population density is within the national limit," said Cao Jianzhong of Beijing Airport Inspection & Quarantine Bureau.

Beijing's border inspection authorities have launched the strict procedures to minimize the chances of the Zika virus getting in. On Wednesday, national health authorities warned of a bigger Zika threat as the weather gets warmer. This means the tight inspections still need to be in place for a while.
