The Pakistan Army said four Indian soldiers were killed and two of their
check posts were destroyed on Sunday, after seven people were killed in unprovoked Indian shelling across the Line of Co
ntrol (LoC) in Kashmir, the army said in a
statement on Monday.
"...Indian forces targeted innocent civilians along the LoC. Indian guns silenced effectively,” tweeted director general Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) major General Asif Ghafoor.
"Pakistan Army stands by the innocent civilian population against unprovoked Indian ceasefire violations and would continue to respond befittingly to this naked aggression,” he said in another tweet.
Pakistan and India declared a ceasefire along the LoC in 2003. However, both routinely accuse each other of violations.
