道景咨询公司的资深分析师马继华表示，京津冀一体化的最大受益者并非是河北、天津两地，而是北京的远郊区县。
“远郊”就是outer suburbs，这几年北京发展太快，人们对于远郊的说法也由原来的通州、房山变成了怀柔、密云。这些远郊区县距离河北比距离downtown Beijing（北京核心区）更近。
马继华认为，京津冀一体化的关键在于elimination of administration in these three regions（破除行政壁垒）。除此以外，交通、medical insurance（医保）、household registration（户口）等问题都是京津冀一体化所面临的挑战。
