Shanghai has shut a food production factory for allegedly selling out-of-date meat to restaurant giants including McDonald's and KFC.

“过期肉”可用out-of-date meat或expired meat表示，指的就是过了保质期的肉制品。
英语里有关“保质期”的说法常见的有三种，分别为use by, best before和display until，每个的侧重点不同。'Use by' means exactly that. You shouldn't use any food or drink after the end of the 'use by' date shown on the label.
