A New Zealand military plane has spotted suspicious objects in a new search area designated by Australian authorities earlier in the day. The sighting needs to be confirmed by a ship, which is not expected to arrive until Saturday.
Our correspondent Tony Cheng in Perth was on the New Zealand Airforce plane which spotted the suspicious objects and told us what he saw there.
