父亲节最感人一幕：12岁女孩为父挡刀
有些小孩或许还在被父母亲宠爱着，而这个12的女孩勇敢地救下了被围困的父亲。上周六晚上，住在湖南长沙的李典，猛扑向醉酒男子，挥手为父挡下一刀。

The heroine, Li Dian living in Changsha City in central China’s Hunan Province, pounced on an inebriated man and forced him to fling down his knife as he was poised to attack her father last Saturday night.
In an interview with Changsha Evening News, the smiling girl, calm and unhurried, said: “I thought nothing. I just wanted to protect my father."

At midnight, a burst of quarreling pierced the tranquility and awakened Li’s father. As a community service worker, he felt duty-bound and rushed downstairs to see what was happening. Two gangs of drunks were squabbling, but as he tried to mediate a man abruptly pushed him down and moved to attack him with a knife in hand.
Seeing the situation worsening, Li Dian made a beeline for the scuffle and knocked the drunkard off her father. In the commotion, the knife sliced her arm. Li later underwent a four-hour operation.

The operating surgeon said the cut on Li’s left arm was 12 cm long and 8 cm deep.
Kang Li, Li Dian’s mother, still felt scared as she described what had happened on that night.
“I hugged my daughter and she was bleeding, which made my white T-shirt bloody instantly. I am still a little afraid now,” Kang said to Changsha Evening News.

Chinese netizens have complimented Li Dian since the saga of the brave girl went viral, and social media splashed her story in the context of Sunday's Father’s Day celebration.
“China’s best daughter," a netizen with the screen name of @YongyuangeBEYOND dubbed the girl on Sina Weibo.
“The father is upright and the daughter is brave,” commented @Xiaoxiaonvzic on social media.
“Good girl. Brave. May they recover soon and police arrest the gangsters as quickly as possible. happy Father’s Day.” @JiuBanCc praised with a heart emoticon.
It is reported that the local police have identified the assailant and are seeking his arrest.
