台湾飞机失事或因天气恶劣

台湾复兴航空一架客机澎湖坠毁。这架客机载有乘客54人，机组人员4人，从高雄飞往马公。当地媒体报道称飞行员试图紧急迫降，机头撞地并着火。紧急迫降的原因尚不明确。这日早上台湾受台风麦德姆袭击，暴雨可能是导致台湾飞机失事的原因。

A TransAsia Airways flight has crashed near a village in Taiwan’s Penghu County. The plane was flying from Kaohsiung to Makung, carrying 54 passengers and four crew members. Many are feared dead. 

Local media say the pilot was attempting an emergency landing when the plane’s nose hit the ground and caught fire. It’s unclear why the plane would have been forced into an emergency landing, since the airport control tower lost contact with the pilot moment’s before the crash. 

Earlier in the day, Taiwan was hit by Typhoon Matmo, and the stormy weather may have contributed to the crash. Continued rain at the crash site is also hampering rescue efforts.
