The state Council has set up an investigation team to look into the causes of the landslide. Jiang Daming, Minister of Land and Resources, is the director of the investigation team.
It also includes members from the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Supervision, Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, State Administration of Work Safety, All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Guangdong Provincial government and the Shenzhen Municipal Government.
