CHANGCHUN - Police have captured a man suspected of killing his wife and seven others in northeast China's Jilin province, the provincial public
security authorities said Sunday.
中国吉林省公安局周日称警方已抓捕一名杀妻及另外七人的嫌犯。
Jiang Chun, 48, was apprehended at about 8 am in the town of Jinbaotun, Tongliao city, in northern Inner Mongolia autonomous region, where he fled.
48岁的蒋春逃致北部内蒙古自治区通辽市金宝屯镇，于上午8时左右被逮捕。
Jiang is suspected of killing the eight in the town of Fumin, Huinan county on March 26. The victims include a local family and a baby barely one year old, according to the public security authorities.
据公安部们所述，蒋涉嫌于3月26日杀死辉南县抚民镇居民8人。受害人包括当地一家人和一个不足一岁的婴儿。
Police are investigating the motive of the killings.
警方正在调查杀人动机。
