Today marks the fourteenth World Intellectual property Day. This year’s celebration honor’s movies. After a century of journey, movies are now a global passion, not only for millions of people who watch them every day, but also for hundreds of thousands working behind the screens in this global industry.
The event in 2014 is a salute to those contributing creativity and innovative ideas to films. World Intellectual Property Day was established by the United Nations to raise awareness of intellectual property rights and encourage innovation and creativity. The date was chosen as it coincides with the date of a key UN convention to promote such rights.
