周二上午，中国湖南省内一辆重型卡车与一辆长途客车相撞，13人死亡，其余41人受伤，其中9人受伤严重，当地政府发言人说。

The accident occurred at 6:45 am in Zhongfang county after the truck smashed through the guardrail and crashed into the coach driving on the opposite side of the Shanghai-Kunming expressway, said a spokesman with the city government of Huaihua, which administers Zhongfang.

管理中方县的怀化市政府发言人称，事故于早上6:45发生在中方县，行驶在沪昆高速上的这辆卡车冲破护栏与迎面开来的客车相撞。

Nine people were killed at the scene, and another four died on the way to hospital, said the spokesman.

9人当场死亡，另外4人在送往医院途中丧命，发言人说。

It is not yet known how many people were on board the bus and the truck.

目前还不清楚客车和卡车上各自载来多少人。
