在日常口语中，cheat常常用于欺骗，蒙骗，可以用于欺骗感情或者考试作弊，一般不需要负法律责任。e.g. So why do some men cheat in relationships?
为什么一些男人要欺骗感情？
e.g. Why did you cheat in the exam?
你考试的时候为什么作弊？
但电话中的明显是属于诈骗行为，触犯了法律，这时候要用“defraud”这个词了，一般用于骗取权利、金钱、财产等。
e.g. Do not defraud your neighbor or rob him.
不可欺压你的邻舍，也不可抢夺他的物。
e.g. He pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to defraud the government.
他对阴谋诈骗政府的指控供认不讳。
（2）纳尼？说我“拐卖儿童”?（ child-trafficking/ child abduction）
在我国，每年都有许多拐卖儿童的事件发生，值得引起大家注意，看管好身边的小朋友。

中国政府正继续整治拐卖儿童的问题。

（3）我要“报警”了！（call the police/go to the police ）
遇到什么不对劲，找警察叔叔就对了。
e.g. Maybe we should check and see if we need to call the police.
也许我们应该过去查看一下，看看是否要打电话报警。
e.g. Could you stall the swindler for a few minutes while I go to call the police?
你可不可以拖住那骗子几分钟，我则去报警？
